FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The three models are identical in design and functionality — the only difference is capacity and depth. The AMB420 has 33 litres and a 700 mm bench depth, the AMB430 has 43 litres with the same footprint, while the AMB440 has 63 litres and requires a 900 mm bench depth.

No. The AMB Classic is part of the Astell Plug & Play series and requires only a standard power socket (230V, 13A). Water is filled manually directly into the chamber, and condensate is collected in a heat-resistant condensate bottle (AAN308).

Yes, with the optional add-on AVQ009 (Category III / BSL-3 compliance). This makes the AMB Classic suitable for the safe processing of complex biological waste in high-risk laboratories.

Yes. An IQ/OQ documentation package is available as an add-on and includes calibration details, PED compliance, declaration of conformity, FAT report, ISO 9001 certificate and chamber temperature distribution per cycle.

Yes. The vacuum option AVC002 is available as an add-on and provides simple pre/post-vacuum for effective sterilisation of porous loads and difficult waste loads.
