Astells SQUARE-autoklaver dekker et bredt spekter av steriliseringsbehov — fra kostnadseffektiv hverdagssterilisering i laboratorier til storskala industriell behandling og høykontainment-fasiliteter. Seriene er egnet for sterilisering av laboratorieutstyr, væsker, avfall og porøse laster som innpakkede instrumenter og tekstiler. Double Door-varianten muliggjør pass-through mellom isolerte soner, noe som gjør den særlig aktuell i BSL-3/4-laboratorier, rene rom og karantenemiljøer.

Functions

Alle modeller deler disse kjernefunksjonene: 5,7″ fargeberøringsskjerm, sikkerhetskoblet dørmekanisme (kan ikke åpne under trykk/temperatur), dampvakuumresistent dørpakning, termisk isolerte dører, overtemperatur- og overkroppsbeskyttelse, kjølesperre og nødstoppknapp. ECO-serien har manuell dør og media holdwarm/forsinket start. SQUARE og MAX har automatisk sideglidende dør. Double Door har automatisk dørdrift på begge sider og vannsparende resirkulasjonssystem.

Options and accessories

All four series share a common platform for options. The most important include integral steam generator (24/48/72kW), advanced pulsar vacuum (AVC001) for porous loads and drying, external jacket for improved drying or faster cooling (AAQ302/AAQ302C), IQ/OQ documentation package, FDA 21 CFR Part 11 software, remote maintenance and diagnostics (RDM101), Ethernet interface, BSL-3 compliance (AVQ006), loading system with external trolley and internal truck, water softener, blow-down vessel and stainless steel pipework. The SQUARE ECO has a simpler vacuum (AVC002) without drying capability. The Double Door additionally features an SPF seal (AVQ007) specifically for double-door machines.

All SQUARE models require a free-venting drain (Ø54 mm, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 100°C) and a cold water supply of 2–6 bar with a maximum flow rate of 20 litres/min. A minimum clearance of 50 cm around the unit is recommended for servicing.

Who is the SQUARE series suitable for?

The series covers an extremely wide range of users. The SQUARE ECO is suited for universities and laboratories requiring a square chamber without high complexity. The SQUARE series is the right choice for most research and industrial laboratories with varying load types. The SQUARE MAX is designed for large-scale production and high throughput. The Double Door is specially designed for high-containment facilities, clean rooms and environments requiring pass-through and zone isolation — including BSL-3 and pharmaceutical production.

Documentation

An IQ/OQ documentation package is available as an optional extra on all series and includes calibration details, PED compliance, declaration of conformity, FAT report, drawing schedule, ISO 9001:2015 certificate and cycle-based temperature distribution tests. All units are manufactured in accordance with PED 2014/68/EU and ISO 9001:2015. Astell is UKAS-accredited for calibration.

Frequently asked questions

The four series are aimed at different needs and budgets within the same product family. The ECO is the simplest and most cost-effective (125–360L, manual door, heaters in chamber). The SQUARE is versatile with a steam generator, automatic/manual door and 7 sizes (125–735L). The MAX covers large-scale needs (600–1,400L) with an automatic sliding door. The Double Door is a pass-through with two doors for containment facilities (250–1,200L).

Yes, but the vacuum option is required (AVC001 for SQUARE/MAX/Double Door, AVC002 for ECO). Without vacuum, the machines are primarily suited for fluid and glassware loads.

Yes, by combining the AVC001 advanced pulsar vacuum with an integral steam generator and external jacket (AAQ302), dry output is achieved for all load types.

Yes, BSL-3 compliance (Category III, ref. AVQ006) is available as an optional add-on on all four series.

Cold water supply 2–6 bar, minimum 4 litres/min and maximum 25°C. Requirements may vary for RO, de-ionised or hard water. A water softener is available as an optional add-on.
