Areas of Use

The Duaclave is designed for laboratories and institutions where floor space is limited but the need for sterilisation capacity is high. With two independent chambers in a single unit, different cycles can be run simultaneously — for example sterilising laboratory equipment in one chamber while preparing media in the other. Typical areas of use include university and research laboratories, microbiological laboratories (including BSL-3), the pharmaceutical industry and clinical environments.

Installation requirements

AMB models: Condensate bottle or heat-resistant container per chamber, alternatively free-venting drain (Ø35 mm, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 100°C). Neutral line and protective earth required. ASB models: Cold water supply 2–6 bar, min. 4 litres/min (for autofill). Max. temperature 25°C, max. flow rate 20 litres/min. Free-venting drain (Ø35 mm, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 100°C). Requirements vary for RO/de-ionised/hard water.

Options and accessories

AMB-serien (420DV / 430DV / 440DV) støtter blant annet: lastsensorstyrt prosesstiing, Pulsar freesteaming, integrert dataprinter, FDA 21 CFR Part 11-programvare, fjernvedlikehold/-diagnose, Ethernet-grensesnitt, IQ/OQ-dokumentasjon, assistert luftkjøling, Morrison-avfallsbeholder og BSL-3-samsvar (AVQ009).

ASB-serien (260DV / 270DV) støtter i tillegg: autofyll, avløpskjøling, avansert vannkjøling, autodrain, kompakt vannmykner, ekstra hyllekitt og direktedampmodell.

Who is the Duaclave suitable for?

The Duaclave is particularly well suited for laboratories with limited floor space requiring high throughput, environments where parallel and different cycles are run simultaneously, microbiological laboratories including BSL-3 classified facilities (with optional add-on), as well as universities, hospitals and the pharmaceutical industry requiring validated sterilisation with IQ/OQ documentation.

Frequently asked questions

It is one machine with two separate, identical chambers stacked in a single frame. The chambers operate completely independently of one another, each with their own control panels and touchscreens.

Yes, this is one of the main advantages. You can, for example, run a glassware cycle in one chamber whilst sterilising media in the other — completely independently and without affecting one another.

No, all Duaclave models are supplied exclusively with heaters in the chamber as the steam source. An external steam generator is not an available option in this series.

Yes, as an optional add-on. BSL-3 compliance (Category III) is available for all models: AVQ009 for the AMB series and AVQ006 for the ASB series.

A condensate bottle or equivalent heat-resistant container per chamber is sufficient, alternatively connection to a free-venting, non-manifolded drain with Ø35 mm capable of withstanding temperatures up to 100°C.
