The Emoteca Twin Touch are medically approved blood bank refrigerators (Medical Device EMDN Z121701) designed for the storage of blood, fluids and body tissue for transfusion, administration or introduction into the body. The defining feature of the series is its dual alternating cooling system — two compressors in a single unit providing exceptional operational reliability. The series is used in blood banks, transfusion centres, hospitals and clinical departments where continuous and secure temperature control is absolutely critical.

Functions

What sets the Emoteca Twin apart from other Fiocchetti series is the patented dual cooling system: the ECT-F Touch controller activates the two compressors alternately at each operating cycle, and automatically switches to the functioning compressor if one fails — without human intervention and without any temperature deviation. Additional shared features include: 7″ Full Touch screen with real-time temperature graph, automatic adaptive defrost, digital lock with password protection and mechanical emergency key, full LED lighting, Night & Day energy saving function, DMLP Touch Digital Monitor with PT100 probes (accuracy 0.1°C), 10 years of data storage on SD card even in the event of a power failure, and a safety thermostat to prevent freezing and overheating.

Documentation

All models are certified medical devices with MDD CE certification and DIN 13277 conformity. They comply with EU Directive 93/42/EEC (Class II), EU 2017/745 and EU 2023/607, ROHS II and III, WEEE, the F-gas Regulation and REACH. The data logger records temperature and events for 10 years, with export via USB, SD and RJ45.

Who is the Emoteca Twin Touch suitable for?

The series is particularly well suited for blood banks and transfusion centres where continuity and operational reliability are absolutely critical — where a single compressor failure cannot be tolerated. The Twin 250 and 400 are ideal for smaller departments and clinics. The Twin 700 is a great mid-range option for medium-sized blood banks. The Twin 1500 is designed for large hospitals and central blood banks requiring very high capacity (up to 672 blood bags) and an extended hold over time of 6.5 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Nei, det er ett kjøleskap med ett kammer, men med to uavhengige kompressorer som arbeider vekselvis. Hvis én kompressor svikter, overtar den andre automatisk og opprettholder temperaturen uten avbrudd.

Emoteca 2T har to fysisk separate kammer med uavhengige kjølekretser. Emoteca Twin har ett kammer med to kompressorer i vekselvis drift. Twin gir høyere driftsikkerhet i ett samlet kammer, mens 2T gir mulighet for å kjøre to soner uavhengig.

DMLP Touch-modulen er batteridrevet og fortsetter å registrere temperatur og hendelser uten strøm. Hold over time varierer fra 3,5 timer (Twin 700) til 6,5 timer (Twin 1500) ved 20°C omgivelsestemperatur.

Ja. Alle modeller støtter Ethernet med Modbus TCP/IP, og med tilvalg kan du koble til via Wi-Fi, GSM (SMS-varsling) eller Fiocchetti Cold Eyes skyovervåking med app, e-post og SMS-varsler.
