The MIKRO 200 is a standard microlitre centrifuge without cooling, while the MIKRO 200 R is equipped with an integrated cooling system providing stepless temperature control from −10°C to +40°C with a pre-cooling function. The MIKRO 200 R is significantly heavier (approx. 28 kg vs. 11.5 kg) and deeper (553 mm vs. 344 mm) due to the cooling unit.

Yes, rotor 2418-A is specifically designed for centrifugation of 4 × 8 PCR strips at up to 15,000 RPM (max. RCF 14,338), making the MIKRO 200 | 200 R well suited for PCR work.

Rotor 2437 (30-place) provides the highest capacity with space for 30 × 2 ml tubes per run, while also achieving a maximum RCF of 21,382 at 15,000 RPM.

Yes, rotors 2434, 2437 and 2428 are all supplied with a bioseal lid included. These have been tested by TÜV in accordance with DIN EN 61010, part 2-020, and ensure safe handling of potentially infectious material.
